Breeding Japanese Chin For Mind, Body
and Soul

Japanese Chin are probably one of the most
unique toy dog breeds ever created. They have
a very cat-like personality with definite dog
loyalties. Japanese Chin, unlike many toy
breeds, do not have a reputation for being
snappy or short tempered. They will let you do
almost anything to them, however, they may
pout about it later.
While Japanese Chin may be easy going, and
accepting, they may not do well with families with
small children. Chin can be very delicate, and can
easily be injured when children try to play with
them. The Japanese Chin is mostly a lap dog, who
is meant to be catered too, and doted on. They
enjoy peace and quiet, time with their owners,
and of course the occasional rip around the house.
Japanese Chin also have a great sense of humor.
They can be tricksters and manipulators, after all
they are royalty! As with any breed of dog,
Japanese Chin have their down sides as well.
They are strictly house dogs, and do best when
paper trained. They also shed, and can be
subject to eye problems and heart problems. I am
very proud of this breed of dog, and I am very
pleased to be owned by them. I am always
happy to help any one looking for a puppy, or who
maybe interested in one of our own. We
specialize in Red and white Chin, however, we do
have black and white as well.
